Dallas Homes Sold Statistics Year-To-Date (through Feb. 2013)

By Troy Corman, www.t2realestate.com

Below are homes sold statistics for the Dallas metro through February 2013. Statistics are courtesy of the Texas ATM Real Estate Center, and the North Texas Real Estate Information System. The underlying theme? Extremely low inventories of homes for sale has put sellers in the catbird seat. While a 6 month’s supply of inventory is considered a balanced market, there are some areas with less than 2 month’s worth of homes for sale. As mortgage rates just hit a 7-month high, look for slowly rising mortgage rates to add fuel to the home buyer fire.
