Houston may have higher temperatures, but when it comes to the housing market, Dallas is hotter.
Our neighbor to the north has been on the list of the nation’s hottest markets every month this year, ranking No. 3 in June, according to a new ranking by Realtor.com.
The only other Texas metro area to crack the top 20 so far in 2016 is Midland, which ranked No. 17 in January.
Realtor.com determines the 20 hottest markets each month by examining the number of listing views and the median days of the inventory of homes on the market.
The hottest markets get two to three times the number of views per listing compared to the national average, according to Realtor.com. They also sell from 20 to 38 days quicker.
