Urban mixed-use project in Plano creates concerns

As Plano expands with new growth in both business and population, city staff members are looking for ways to accommodate the changing demands of residents along with the dynamics of how businesses and living spaces interact. As a solution, the city recently created a new zoning district called urban mixed-use, to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment that promotes “social interaction, community identity and efficient use of land and resources.”
